I first heard about him as the "Baker without Borders". In real life his name is Loïc Nervi. He is a baker from a small village in the South of France.
2 years ago, he transformed an old truck into a mobile bakery. During his missions, he baked up to 1000 artisanal breads every day and distributed them free of charge to people in need. And when I say people in need, I mean this guy goes into war zones and places hit by natural disaster.
He’s gone on 9 missions so far, from Lebanon to Ukraine. Recently he was blocked from returning to Palestine, but he is not stopping: In April, he’ll return to Zaporizhia, Nikopol and Kherson in the Ukraine.
At Lytefire we have been supporting entrepreneurs and changemakers to bake, roast and cook with the sun. While we can’t get a Lytefire out to him at this point it’s great to see Lytefire promoting him and I’m happy to share about his great work too. Loïc is raising funds to fund his next tour so everyone can support him. Go and check out his crowdfunding campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/f/le-boulanger-sans-frontieres
